Silico Creek, Bocas del Toro, Panama

We are a community of the Ngäbe originary people which has about 500 inhabitants and is located in the Ngäbe-Bugle Comarca (Reserve).
We want to share with people our culture, our way of life and our history as well as beautiful scenery and attractions that surround us.

HOW TO GET TO SILICO CREEK

From Panama City and David

By bus: from Panama City, at Albrook Mall, take the bus that travels daily to Bocas del Toro and get off at Silico Creek, km 25 of the road between Punta Pena and Almirante. Desde David, en la terminal de buses de David, tomar el bus que va hasta Changuinola y bajarse en Silico Creek.
By car: from Panama City take the Panamerican Highway up to reach the entrance to Gualaca, there turn right and follow that road until Rambala, where you turn to the left and 25 km later come to Silico Creek. From David turn left and take the Panamerican Highway 10 kilometers and then turn left following the directions above. This indication is also useful if traveling from Costa Rica.

From Almirante and the Archipelago

By bus: at terminal in the road Punta Pena-Almirante, in Almirante, take the bus to David and descend at Silico Creek, 40 kilometers later, approximately. Travelers from the Archipelago, at Isla Colon should take a marine taxi to Almirante and from there a land taxi to get to the terminal of the aforementioned road, taking that bus.
